My divorced son has met a widowed lady on internet dating site (ya hoo), seem to be getting on well, coincidentally, he actually knew her husband!!, am going to get to meet her end of next week. |

Yes I think I would have a go if I wasn't involved with someone already. I used to answer ads in the local paper and met some nice, and some not so nice, men when my son was small. Always be wary of telling them about your child to begin with as unfortunately there are some awful men around who will look out especially for a woman with a small daughter - they gain the woman's trust and then abuse the child. Just be very aware of what you are telling them and don' t take any chances. Have fun Liz PS I used to write to soldiers who wanted penfriends etc and suddenly one day, realised I was too old to do it anymore - they were all young enough to be my sons. I did send a Christmas card to a group of soldiers in the Falklands I think it was, and got a reply from one who had had my card passed to him as he was a Norwich lad. He was about 10 years younger than me, and wrote saying he was a firefighter and helicopter winchman and would ring me when he got home on leave. Bless him, he phoned and I nearly died - he had a squeaky little voice and when I met him for a drink, he was bald and fat!! There was me thinking he would be a hunk!! What a let down! |

One of my bestest friends met her husband on MATCH and has never looked back but she did have to meet some right dodgy characters first!! Like the guy who's profile said he was 6 ft but he was at least 6 inches too short to meet that requirement!! LOL!! And be careful cos my ex hubby is on one dating site not too far from here!! LOL!! xx |

I've done it put my profile on a site....have 3 responses already, 2 too rude for my litle ears so ummm said no thanks..3rd sounds ok, have to see lol will update x Ps Fred go for it....I myself love the older man!! |

Bec's made a good point also. When daughter was doing the internet date and planned a date she always left me the information about the guy, email addie, picture etc. Plus go to a place familiar, meet for coffee where people know you, that's if it gets to that point. Debs |
