The longer it grows the more painful and deep rooted it will become......... If it were me I think I'd go for it........ spend the £150 and it will be gone for good. The alternative is throwing £3 of bazooka at it each time , pain and poss time of work........... it may well add upto more than £150 in the long term as these things can hang around for blinking ages!!

Thanx BC......will try that lol We have had Bazzooka........and the the freezing stuff witch the doc uses..... cost a fortune!! But £150 sounds a bit steep to burn a verrucca off with liquid nitrogen!!!!!! Which is what the doc will do. PLEASE...........I know I'm usually silly but can anyone help......nurses etc........he has been hobbling round for 3 months now and it is affecting his job! Estelle.

Stel - when I had one - I used ointment from chemist and 'filed' the skin each day with an emery board until I finally got to the roots which I then removed with tweezers!!

my daughter had some stuff from the chemist, I can't remember what it was called.... you painted it on and then 24 hours later filed it with an emery board, it was gone within 2 weeks. it was in a blue tube with a white lid, but essentially it was salysilic (sp) acid T :O)

Stel this is true. Get a banana, let the skin go brown, put the brown bit on the verucca for a few days and the verucca will go. Has been tried and tested.... now cross my palm with silver....lol BC

My hubby has a verucca (or so the doc said) on his foot. He has had it frozen by the doc 3 times now without success. When he went back and asked for a referral she told him that he could get it frozen off......but the PRIVATE appiontement would cost him £150. He went to see a chiropodist who didn't help much either..........£25 for cutting away some dead skin!!! Is there something cheaper out there cos we have 3 kids and not a lot of spare money. Please advise. Stel.x
