I have spoke to her and told my cousin to see council about an intercom system so she can make sure the people at her door are real council workers

val i know just how you feel.my mum whose 83 was robbed last year by a door to door salesman.he took all her savings.900 pounds.i cried for days as at the time we did,nt know who had done it.there had been some youths ages 19-right up to 39,going to a drug dealer round the corner.but they used to wait while one scored .so they were the first to get my temper.i told em in no uncertain terms that i wont be calleing for the police as i dont want them to know where i,ll be dumping there bodies,lol.they go else where now.but the salesman never came back.you must be so upset love.bless her.hope you all get over it.xxxxxxjoy

This sort of thing makes me so angry. Any decent man would rush to defend and help an old lady like your aunt, not rob, frighten and distress her. I wish I could believe that they will get their just deserts - but I exect that they are in the pub right now, buying a round, having a good laugh and looking like a real human being. They are not! My very warmest good wishes to you both.

Every day I deal with people who have been burgled, many of them elderly, through insurance claims. It's so upsetting to be talking to some very distressed people sometimes. On some calls I can feel their panic, and at times I have them sobbing thier hearts out down the phone. I want to get hold of the low lifes that do this and tear them apart. Give your Auntie a hug from me, and remind her that not all the world is bad. T x

My Aunt who is 94yrs old in July has just been robbed by 4 men said they where from the council, 1 man went to look at the gate she thougth they where there for and other 3 went in and ransacked her house took £250
