Hi Susie, You must all be so proud of your mum, for making such good progress. Although it will be hard work having your mum back home, your family and particulaly your mum will reap the rewards. I hope that your mum continues to make good progress, and that life will not be too difficult for you all. Also hope that you are feeling better. Jill xx |

Great Susie, things are on the move but how are you. You must look after yourself so that you can look after your mum and dad because your dad will need some tlc too. Give them my best wishes. Elaine. |

Susie, that is real good news, I'm so pleased for you, having been in your situation early last year, it is great to see how they progress, with Mum it was steady but slow, she has now gained the use of her left side, but cannot see properly out of her left eye. Sending best wishes to your Mum, thinking of you all, Chris :) |

Thinking of you and your Mum. My Dad had a stroked age 57, now 65. He couldn't walk, talk and didn't know us at first. The occupational therapist was brill - came to see him at home ( bed downstairs and he coudln't walk ) within 3 months of been home they had him up, walking and talking. he is a lot better now but struggles to communicate at times and gets confused, but he goes out to the pub and even fishing without the use of his right side - What a guy - I recently got him some more Physio and thanks to them they had him writing his name with his right hand for the first time in 7 years - they are fantastic people who never give up I hope that you Mum gets well soon take care Jo |

it will be hard work but we will manage. as you may know already,i am an nvq trained carer so i am used to hoists etc lol. sadly i wont be allowed to go into mum through work because she is my mum lol.but i will make sure that i choose my fave work colleagues to wash, dress and move my mum lol. the care package will be a big one,4 times a day.but i can always help dad during visits if he needs me. im sure that when mum is home she will improve more.she will gradually get the use of her arm and leg back. susie xxx |
