Thanks Nell, I know what you mean. Fortunately, white has been ok on me in the past; not sure why, but I just suddenly felt 'too old' for it!

Hi Mandy, Just asked my nearly 40yr old daughter. Her main comments were, it's the in colour this year, it shows all the marks & your knickers show through. Errrrrrrrrrrrmmm, she doesn't like white, did you guess!!! pmsl Vivienne

Vivienne - aaaaaargh, didn't stop to think of my knicks! Although I've a feeling the skirt was lined. Now a bit unsure about two bouncy pups with muddy paws, hmmmmm!!

Or no knickers at all! Actually, if you don't want underwear to show through, don't wear white undies, wear nude or pale beige colour. They aren't attractive, but they don't show. Oh and never carry a newspaper next to your white clothing as all the print ink comes off. nell

Oh Nell, I've got visions of Bridget Jones' big pants now (beige!) lol! Whoever suggested a thong has never seen me in real life (pmsl!).

Its not about age, its about whether white suits your skin colour/complexion. I personally could never wear a fully white outfit as it made my skin look wierd, which is why (and the only reason of course!!!!!!) that I married in cream. I wear white blouses but never a white skirt at the same time. I am very envious of those who can dress in a white dress or skirt/blouse because it looks so good. Angela

Mandy, regarding your thread heading, please take this in the way it's intended: you're talking rubbish! I've seen photos of you and I have to say you're being a bit hard on yourself. Besides, if you could see what we see down here during the summer, on the beaches, you'd have no hesitation whatsoever! Seriously, I've seen some very tasteful clothes in white for the 'fuller figure', so to answer your thread question - NO! x (wiv luv from someone who has a pot belly, flabby bum and cultivating cellulite, but still wears some white in the summer)

Mandy, my aunt is over 70 and she still wears white!! and she aint the slimmest or the tallest lady either, so damn them all and wear what you like and what you are comfortable with, I am sure you will look lovely :-))
