I've met loads of Crystal Palace players!!! Last weekend my son was playing in a football match against a team from Chatham and watching it was the guy who plays Nicky Webb in The Bill. His son was on the other team. When I was younger I met Simon Groom and Goldie (from Blue Peter) and Paul Darrow who was Avon in Blakes 7. I also went to a party at the home of Tony Hadley from Spandau Ballet and met him and the rest of the band. My hubby had just fitted Tony's kitchen for him! |

Hi Mags, It's Carenza, isn't it? Phil was at a show at the NEC and I chatted to him for a while about the show and flint knapping. When his stall got crowded I moved on. Later on I was sitting in the food area eating some sarnies and he came along and said, 'Mind if I join you?' and produced a flask and a packet of doorstep sandwiches. So I can truthfully say I had lunch with Phil the flint knapper. He really is a nice bloke. Gwynne |

Gwynne - He was sooo nice. It wasn't just a case of you ask me questions and I'll answer them, he asked us questions too. Even made a crack about us not really being from Bristol. We discovered the whole team sitting outside the pub in the next street to where we were staying when we went for a drink on the way back - with the exception of Tony Robinson who drove past later and stopped for a 'quick chat' with the 'diggers' and the girl whose unusual name escapes me, from the passenger window of the very much posher van than Phil's that he was being driven round in. Perhaps he was having a bad day, or Sheila caught him on a good one; there was a distinct atmosphere between him and the rest of the crew. He didn't stop long! LOL Mags xx |

know a few famous people. A dear friend is the niece of Martin Short. He was the MC at her wedding a few years ago, which turned to be a hodge podge of celebs even though it was here in lowly Hamilton Ontario. Guests were : Martin Short, Eugene Levy, Dan Ackroyde, Tom Hanks, several hockey stars and several others I forget now. It was great pulling into the parking lot of the country club and parking between limos, mercedes, caddies, lincolns, chauffer driven cars. Parked my little beater cavalier between a couple of rolls and walked with pride to the reception. pmsl |
