I really can't recall the funniest ones but I do remember when my children were little they really believed me when I told them that if they lied they would get black spots on their tongues. Was a doddle for a few blissful years as whoever had told the lie was the one with their mouth firmly shut! Daisy

Sorry :-( I'll go find some pork chops for tea. They take away the sins of the world and will grant me peace. At least I think it's a pork chop.

i remember when Jess was about 4, she saw a black and white film for the first time and she asked OH where the colour had gone, his reply was 'Along time ago , there wasnt any colour and then someone dug some up out of the ground and everything now has colour' She went to school and repeated it, she has never beleived a word he has said since LOL

Just before xmas we went to see my M I L who lives with Daves 2 brothers (the ugly sisters both in their 50's ) Mike his brother claimed to be friends with not only a millionaire....but a double lotto winning millionaire. Apparently his so called friend won uk lotto and American one as well.(just to make the boast good) Mike went on to boast that hed been in this guys mansion...parties etc etc. So I asked him if his friend buys him gifts and helps him out with a few bob now and again. (if you saw my outlaws they have no curtains up the windows, only a filthy blanket., no lampshades, sofa falling apart with burn holes in it, and everything stinks of fags, and everything is orange in their house. They spend any money they get on fags and bingo.) Mike said his millionaire friend had offered and mike declined, even though M I L is now 82. (Mike has been in the nick and wouldn't know the truth if it hit him ...hes still a thief as well) No way had it been true, would mike decline a free handout from anyone. we went home that day, and it made us laugh for days :o)))))))))) Elaine x

right, I've thought of one. When I was a nipper of about 5 or 6, it was my mums birthday. I asked her how old she was, and she said '21'. Of course, I believed this. The fact that my sister was about 15 or 16 at the time is neither here nor there. Fancy deceiving a small child like that. shocking. While I'm here... I think we need clarification from Deb regarding this 'Hawaiian disease'.

I believed in the Tooth Fairy, Father Christmas etc until my parents sat us (my sister and I) down and told us otherwise. I was 10, she was 9!

My Mum and Dad chucked out me old scooter when I was little and told me the man in the moon took it! My friend told her kids that when the ice cream man came round ringing his bell it was because he'd run out of ice cream! Now that really is mean!
