Oh that brought back some memories! My son loved the Postman Pat stories (just realised, PP same initials as mine) - he had the books and the story tapes and would listen to the tape and 'read' the books, and he also had a knitted Postman Pat (still around somewhere) and a cardigan with a PP van knitted into the back, the duvet cover as well. He also had the song on tape and we would be driving along singing to it, then I would drop him at my mum's so I could go and do a jewellery party to earn some loot, and realise tho now alone, I was still singing along to the PP song. He had difficulty with some words when he was young and would call Mrs Goggins 'Gogginsgoggins' Such happy times.
