Anna, have you tried ICE CUBES? then he can get the fluid and spit them back into the cup if he has had enough of it. Poor wee soul, hope he is well soon. Deanna X |

We always rely on plain lemonade with fizz. .... just enough to cover the bottom of a small cup to a depth of quarter of an inch. It's the quantity that the stomach can't manage so once it can hold onto this small amount, repeat these small measures every 30 mins or so. I used to starve mine, especially no dairy products and first food was something like cream cracker or Tuc biscuit. Gwyn |

so the general consensus is to give him flat full sugar coke???? :-)) His temperature always tends to be on the high side(39.5+degress celcius!) when he gets ill (his own wee thermostat never worked properly since he was born weighing a mighty 2lbs12oz's!) so was advised from when he was a baby sprite to overlap one dose of paracetamol with another of ibuprofen 2hrs later etc. Ok I'm away again to give him a glass of coke with a spoon of sugar in itand to let him sook at it with a straw :-)) Thanks everyone for all the advice and several pm's I've had it's nice to know people care :)))))) |

Hi Dolly, Sorry to hear about little un...........hope it doesn't last too long. I have just got over something very similar........horrid, nasty thing it was! So I know how little 'uns feeling. Just have to keep persevering with fluids I'm afraid as he can't keep anything down but, one thing that did help me, and I swear by it for any and all tummy bugs I get, as it works a treat and is natural and that's BIO Yoghurt...............puts loads of good bacteria into the system and helps kill off bad bacteria faster than normal............. Know I sound like an advert.............but always works for me. ((((((((hugs for little un))))))))))))) Jen |
