ham hill in somerset ,the scenery is great.worth a trip up there,and also wesy bay,a lovely seaside place very quiet when i went,again scenery fantastic.xxxxxxxxxjoy

My favourite place in England - The Lake District, and in particular Windermere. (Sigh!!)

a few places i have loved,one the Lizard.cornwall sitting in the little cafe looking over the sea it was hot and sunny,an we were the onlyones there, the other is on the Yorkshire Moors or Dales,or Flanbrough Head Gwen

Not been to that many but loved Chester and Yorkshire especially Thirsk and surrounding villages. Wasn't too keen on Scarborough but it was a very blustery day so probably that was an inluencing factor

Wouldn't mind a trip myself! We're hoping to see friends from there this weekend, they're in Ambleside now but were in Oldstead for a while. If we can wangle a weekend away I'm going to try to get to the History Fair in York in June.

Portsmouth---a little place in Old Portsmouth called Bath Square,i love to go down there and sit and watch the ferries,fishing boats etc come by.its so peaceful and the scenery is always changing. Karen

Whitby, an old fishing port with the Abbey overlooking it lucky ducks, whitby jet, Fortunes kippers, miles of great sand, and its near Grosmont, Heartbeat country and the steam trains.............. ...........you'll never guess I love it!..........Barbara........

Love St. Ives in Cornwall, very picturesque with all the boats, Land's End, Rye and Hastings........... Lake Windermere is beautiful,was there as a child with mum, dad and brother but, it poured down all day.........still had a great time but could not go on the lake........water too choppy. Jen
