Wedding clothes will be ready tomorrow. Sort of hits home that the man who has been shacking up with my Cook for 18 years I will have to call Dad. I don't know if I'm comfortable with that. It'll sink in eventually, but still. Anywway, From Saturday I will be away for 2 whole weeks, away from GR. I will miss it :-(

Are you still legpulling Daniel? I am sure if cook were to read your thread - a clipped ear would be the result. Enjoy the wedding and holiday - you know you will - think yourself lucky they could have nipped down to the RO without anyone. Congratulations to the bride and groom. Ann

Sorry I think you've missed the point Dan. If he's married cook, doesn't that make him the butler?

Dan Stop being so cynical about life! You have an old head on your young shoulders! Just go with the flow and enjoy yourself - not everyone gets the chance to attend a wedding in Dubai! Have a great time.... Debby

''Mum'' and ''Dad'' ... has a nice sort of ring to it. Hope all will go well.

lol I think most of this thread is taking you too seriously. They will learn....I never take you seriously. lol Will enjoy the peace and quiet whilst you are away. Have a good time. Take plenty of photos. Don't get too drunk. Is it illegal there? Just googled: Alcohol is available for non-Muslims at all hotels, hotel bars and hotel restaurants in Dubai. Non-Muslim expatriate workers can also get a liquor license to allow them to buy alcohol for home consumption. All non-Muslims may also buy alcohol at Dubai Airport Duty Free, with a final bottle stop available just after immigration at baggage claim.
