Just been thinking about the crumpets I used to eat as a child. We used to toast them by the coal fire - much tastier than under the grill. Not many coal fires about these days though! Ummmmmmmm Margaret

Hi Bec I normally have butter (lots of) but I'm starting a diet tomorrow and guess what I can have as a snack (150 calories according to the one I'm following) - one crumpet with 1 tblsp of peanut butter on so I'm going to give it a go! Debby

Yes Kaz we sometimes call them pikelets round here.......but crumpets usually seems to be the preferred term........probably for the comedy value! LOL
