Orlando, Florida. Was meant to be Orlando, Florida, then on to New York, but that didn't happen because of 9/11 (first day of our honeymoon !). It was a fairly crap 2 weeks to be honest. The honeymoon was ORIGINALLY going to be Maldives/Sri Lanka, but we had to rearrange (thats a whole other story lol)

!st marriage, couldn't afford one. 2nd marriage, had 3 kids, so we took them along for a week at Pontins. That was 20yrs ago. They're all grown up now, and as we've just sold a piece of land, next year we're gonna have a mega luxury belated honeymoon! Just got the brochures now....

First marriage - didnt have one. Instead we blew 400 squid on a new BSA motorbike. A lot of money back in the late 60s. Second marriage - didnt have one as we had already been living together for a few years and it seemed a bit pointless. But on our wedding night, I slept on the sofa and hubby slept on a camp bed - mother-in-law was drunk and passed out in our bed! lol

First one was The Black Forest in Germany but only because he had combined it with a metallurgists conference and therefore it was free! I spent all week on the wives tour and when I asked if we could spend just one evening together instead of with all his colleagues he replied 'well the honeymoon's over and they are my mates'. Second one was a very wet three days in the Cotswolds spent in a couple of rather interesting hotels, one of which was run by a woman who had a mountain of personal problems and proceeded to regale us with all of them for hours and hours. Actually they were horrific problems but not what we wanted to be dealing with on our honeymoon. Now for my third one...........................ssssh don't tell hubby! lol Daisy

St Lucia - lovely people, but we were quite upset to see the poverty in the areas away from the ' touristy ' bit - enjoyed the 2wks but it did make us think about our priorities in life!!

We went to Rethymnon in Crete for a week and it was fantastic. We were really lucky as my Dad and Step Mum paid for it as a Wedding Present. We can't wait to go back there - wonderful place. Kaye x

Ten days in Ibiza - 1971 It rained every day but one: worst storms in living memory, apparently. Enjoyed it, though.

I went to Blackpool. Not sure where my wife went. That glorious summer of 1959. And as for the last bit of your posting - mind your own business. Happy days (only joking above - I think)

Linda (missing her man) Funny you should say that about your Bridal suite. Ours was as well, and we also had a double and a single bed!! Strange! was it supposed to be ' the huffy bed' do you think. We didn't have to use it happily. lol Mau xx
