Consider that well and truly logged in my memory. I should have known that you would be above such menial tasks! My sincere apologies. LOL :o)

Hello Clicquot, we've never met but our Mums have, sort of, on the boards. I know how you feel, puss, because I too have a shaved area on my body, making me feel very un-handsome. None of my brothers and sisters like it, either! I would say to you 'united we stand', but in our conditions my Mum says that's a poor choice of words, as one of your legs is poorly and one of mine is now missing! Oh well; here's to a nice bit of catnip and a saucer of Felix cat milk; I'll have some for you. Lots of love and purrs, Pepper. xx P.S. My Mum's hiding from yours, as she's embarrassed that she didn't see the thread in time to give you our good wishes!

Pepper - thank you kindly, they were discussing doing the same to me this morning and I breathed a HUGE sigh of relief when they said it wasn't necessary! hope you feel purrfect soon xx

Hi Clicquot It will grow back very quickly. I had to have my chest, throat and three of my legs shaved last year when I was in hospital (you think they would have shaved all four to even me out, wouldn't you??). They then cut a hole in my throat and stopped me miaowing for a week, so I couldn't even get attention that way! Still mummy and daddy used to visit me each night (even though it was nearly an hours drive for them in each direction) and I used to get some smashing treats from them. I did feel a bit silly around the other cats when I was allowed home and out again, but all mummy's friends and family made an extra special fuss of me when they came to visit. Milk it! I did. Miaows and licks from Bolly. I'm Bolly's brother, I too had to be shaved on two legs and the whole of my tummy after a stupid car decided to drive down the road I was crossing! I know it could have taken a different route too! I had to have the whole of my tummy cut open, and had some funny looking cotton holding my tum together (think they're called stitches??) - we'll they didn't have me in stitches. I looked absolutely hideous when I first went out, in Winter - January it was - with half my fur missing, but like Bolly said, everybody made a great big fuss of me for weeks. The fur grew back really quickly too. Make the most of the fussing you get and give your mum lots of dirty looks. It will be worth it, you'll be having your favourite treats for ages! Lots of purrs, Bud

Hi Clicquot, I dont usually fraternise with cats but you do have my sympathy. My mum took me to the vets in February (when it was freezing cold no less) and they shaved my lovely long coat from both my back legs and HALF my back for an operation . I looked very silly and was a bit embarrassed being taken for a walk down the street like that. At least you wont have the indignity of that!! Also it was very cold so at least you have been shaved in the summer whilst it is hot. My coat has now almost grown back so I look more like a border collie again. Am sure you will feel better soon, but its nice to be spoilt (even more so than normal!!) best wishes PIp

Thanks everyone...... even my Daddy (the pink person's ex-hubby) has asked after me today!! He told mummy that she needed the hand of god to shield her from the dirty looks I would give........ Not sure he really knows me, as not even god would be able to help her!! I am still sulking but think its more to do with not feeling 100% due to that setic stuff but I have eaten a fair bit for me and i will torment her even more tomorrow!! thanks again for your advice.... you canine's ain't bad at advice either but me still not gonna play with you!! xx

Well I am feeling brighter today..... punished the pink person lots last night by refusing cuddles and didn't jump up on her bed either for my goodnight one..... it paid off cos she got up really early this morning and I've had Thai Chicken fillets already this morning!! SUCKER that she is!! Hope all you other pets have been milking it too..... I might make a habit of putting her in the 'dog house'!! Thanks for all your concern........... just tell her NO PICTURES thank you!! xx
