That made me laugh like a drain Jilly. You are not expected to feel THAT good.... Go get those children back! You wash only the sheets, pillow cases and quilt cover... blankets if you have them can be done in the Summer when the sun is strong and can dry them. I'm going now before I get into trouble... again. I can smell it coming a mile off. Deanna X

Hi all Interesting this as we've just got back from our hols in France and the gite owner expected us to use the same pair of sheets for THREE WEEKS! As it was raining most of the time it wasn't practical to wash them and get them dry by night time so we drove 75 miles to IKEA and bought our own! Allie ps one hand towel and one bath towel as well! All this for just 15 euros each!

Fort William for the dry cleaners Polly!! Just take your duvet neatly rolled up inside a black bin bag and make sure your name is on it!! Ask whoever is on in the canteen if you can get the quilt washed and when will it be ready......usually 2-3days coz they make sure all the fibres are dry by leaving it airing in the laundry room for an extra 24hrs when it's done and it comes back all lovely and clean smelling!!! It's less than a tenner I know that much!!! Only if the weather's been particularly hot I change them every other day but it's coz hubby sweats quite a lot so I want clean sheets not stale sweaty ones he wouldn't bother until the weeks up!!! lol lol RDA.x.

Every Thursday /Friday.No rigid day depends wot else I have got to do which day it is ,BUT, its always once a week. We use a top sheet under the duvet so the Duvet cover gets changed every three weeks unless one of the cats has marked it with muddy footprints . but sheets & pillow cases every week

PMSL at Jilly - does this mean I get a new bed in August too ??? lol Fortnightly for lonely old me - unless there's a 'special occasion' on the cards *nudge nudge* - oh so that's just fortnightly then lol Except for hot summer months then it's weekly :O))
