Without getting all the paperwork out now I've got them in Ulverston and Dalton since 1861 I think - they came from Cornwall (Tin Miners) and the Iron Ore miners - mainly Williams and Emmanuels not a Gilbert that I recall so far Ann |

Do you know which Churches they were linked to or where they lived by the census? Uren is a preety unusual name round here. Are there any other names? xx |

Carol 1881 lived 59 south row barrow in furness Census has them as WREN took me ages to find that one Henry,Katzia,Henry, Annie, William, Richard and Emanuel 1861 St Ann Street Dalton William, Ann, Caroline V A , Richard, Mary J, Amelia H 1901 - 7 Green Haume Cottages Askam Road Dalton St Mary Parish Emanuel, Ellen, Emanuel, William,Janett and Richard Will send more on a pm tomorrow Ann |

Hi Carol,My Nans Name was Margaret Douglas Kitchingside. How about that for a mouthfull ? lol She was born in Scotland but was brought up in Barrow. My Grandfather was also buried in Barrow.They had a bungalow somewhere near to the Abbey.Nan died in 1961 and Grandpop 1976. C x |

Hi Carol,, they meet in Manchester. I don't know if you have read the rest of the general board, June, who organised them, has sadly had a sudden heart attack and has passed away, . I am pretty sure it will still go ahead, but it will be best to watch the board for any news. Gloria |
