Not sure if this helps but I see a tv prog once and it said girls usually started when their weight reached 7 and half stone??? I also work in a primary school and would have to say it is the bigger girls that start earlier. Deb |

Sounds like it to me too. My eldest was 10 in the June and started her periods - regular as clockwork every month - in the October! :-( I work with 10 year old girls in my pirmary school and your daughter is certainly not alone - the BO, not wanting to have regular baths/showers etc etc. Just keep an eye on her, sounds to me like you're already prepared for what may come ahead. Good luck! :) Lyn x |

Catherine mine is 13 and about the only one in her year that hasn't started. Mine is very moody but blames me for that as she takes after me. Dont worry what will be will be you wont be able to change anything. |

Oh Christine she's only 9, 10 in November, it didn't happen for me till I was 13. I think she's ok with everything, but she's very girly and giggly. I feel it's too young. Thanks christine. catherine xx |

I started when I was only just 11, so it's quite likely that your daughter isn't far off starting hers. Kaye x |

My Daughter is 10 this year and I think the onset womanhood is not far. She has started to get BO under her arms, She hates showering and anything to do with cleanliness. Her chest is developing too. Although there is no monthly as such, I'm wonderng if this is a part of it or not. Had the chat with her, which went ok. Do you think she is close to her monthly or am I getting paranoid. thanks catherine xx |
