They MIGHT have detected a slight blood/sugar problem and need you to have a full bladder for a fresh, mid flow wee when you get there - another way of testing sugar levels. I woudn't worry too much Jess x

Thanks, Linda, Jess, Jilly and Barbara, I have calmed down a bit now but still haven't a clue as to what the blood test is for, Andy says, the hospital said nothing about having a wee test done, just a blood test, I wonder if its going to be a sodium test, she did apparemtly say the test they took was high and may be due to the hot weather, what ever that means. Gillie xx

I'm just off for my second lot of blood tests, bit daft having to travel 50 minutes to a hospital thats further away than my local one thats only 10 minutes down the road. see you all later, perhaps I may be better informed as to what is going on when I get their, I am armed with questions. Gillie Hope all goes well. I know from recent experince how worrying these things are. Try to keep calm. It's probably nothing too serious, but they have to be so careful these days. Pauline (((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))

Hi Everyone, just got back from Hospital, I asked them at the path lab what I was being tested for and apparently it's for Urea, Electrolytes and Creatinine, in other words Liver and Kidney function, the 3 pints of water before hand was to flush my liver through. I just hope this tests comes back fine, I also went to my GP this morning to have my elbow sorted, I have had 2 weeks of putting Volterol gel patches on it with no improvement, she wants to see me on Monday morning to give me a steroid injection in the joint, she wouldn't do it today incase it interfered with the blood test at Hospital. Thanks everyone. Gillie xx
