Well I dont have bad head of hair for my age its grey though now! But today I went to see my daughter who owns her own hairdressing business and asked her to cut it very short because its hot! So she did Number one on back and sides and clipped it close on top! Davex

Thin, fine and was once very dark brown/auburn. Now thin, fine, strawberry blonde when I have just coloured it, later on it will be t.f. salt and pepper roots ... Have to wash it every day or day and a half as so flat. When I used to dye my hair darker, and was a school dinner lady, I always knew when the roots needed doing. I would be kneeling down fastening a child's shoe or something, and a little voice would say 'What are those sparkly bits in your hair?' lol Liz

as a child i had medium length mousey hair and dead straight. now in my mid 40s and i have been blonde for many years i decided to try and go back to my natural colour which has almost worked. but on reaching my 40th birthday, i noticed that my hair started to go kinky!. when i wash it it looks like i have curly hair! has anyone else's hair turned kinky at a certain age?

Once very dark and shinny, with a nice kink to it. That was the good old days!! Today, going grey and fly away with all the medicines. Can't complain... I've still got hair! Deanna X

My hair has always been curly, as a teenager in the 60`s I always wanted long blonde hair like Marianne Faithful. Now I tell my daughters that I really tried to look like Edie Sedgewick!! Short and sweet. Its now `silver` and still curly. Lol. Love and Peace Marianne.x

Babydoll - I think everyone's hair changes when they get older and it goes grey, it gets more wiry so could kink too. I am so glad I had mine cut shorter than usual last week, I can now just wash it and leave it and it 'goes' quite well into a sort of style with flick out bits behind my ears, and is very cool to wear. (Photo of me with Carol CB and Jim in Norwich last week, on photopage) Liz
