Well I think I would move further up north of Scotland maybe!! Anyway the house doesn't need to be large, maybe two bedrooms, large living area, large kitchen and bathroom, large garden front and back.. Along with a cook, cleaner and oh a gardner!! Betty

I have mine already. It's a huge log house we built ourselves on 160 acres of forest surrounded by forestry. A beautiful creek runs right through the middle and we have a 35 acre pond right across from the house. Hundreds of mature pine, spruce, poplar, aspen. Deer, moose, bears, wolves, coyotes, beaver, all the smaller animals including a chipmunk that breakfasts on my windowsill. All the exotic birds who pass through here during the seasons - including three golden eagles. A woodstove in my kitchen, my electricity provided by the sun and my nearest neighbour four miles away. Heaven! My sister in law and brother in law live on Sark - my next favourite place but not enough isolation for me.

My dream home and location would be Hale Village in Hale, Liverpool, they are all original thatched cottages and some are mansions, its a lovely little village. The houses start from about half a million upwards, and date back to 1500 & 1600's. Yvonne

Something like 'Manderley' in the story 'Rebecca' - lovely gardens going down to the sea, and I'd have an assortment of animals, lots of shrubs, trees and flowers, a big homely kitchen and I've always wanted a proper library with leather chairs and a roaring fire!

A Mansion big enough for all the family on the island of Sark. So pretty, so peaceful....... wish I could afford to buy an island just like it! :)

Hi Bryan I would be happy in a beach hut if it could have the sea on my doorstep and a waterfall in the back garden Found the ideal spot when I was on holiday in Devon. I would be a total recluse with a huge container of books outside the door. Dee ;-))

I would dearly love to move back to Yorkshire - Wetherby area into a stone-built 3-bedroomed cottage - this is where all my ancestors lived and where I had to move from aged 7 yrs. Stella
