When I was a teenager George Eastham (then manager of Stoke City) lived next-door-but-one, and Garth Crooks (who also played for Stoke at the time) lived a bit further down. He used to go tearing past in a bright yellow TR7. A couple of years ago Graham Kavanagh (another Stoke player and Ireland international) lived a few doors away from where we are now. He was always very generous on Trick or Treat night. When we first moved here in 1999 Robbie's Mum lived a couple of streets away, and my son's friend was next door to her, so we liked to visit there a lot. And I have been told that Robbie's Aunt lives on our road still. Liz :-)

Russ Conway lived next door for a time although think he was called Trevor and across the road lived Charlie Drake. Charlie's catchphrase was 'Mick not to touch Mont!' Each episode would end with Montmorency doing something silly and Mick getting the end result. Mick would then say to Montmorency 'One day I'll lose my paddiwack with you.'
