he was very appologetic, and took the meal away as i would expect. he came back 5 mins later (possibly as i had pinched a potato off the plate as he took it, claiming to be starving!) with a LARGE prawn cocktail ''just to keep you going''( we hadn't had starters) a round of drinks for us both ( he'd remembered what we'd had from the bar) 10 mins later , he returns with a fresh meal. AND the chef to appologise, AND refunded the £5.95 (£6 actually!) I'm absolutely flabberghasted!! Will we dare to ever go back?? |

I would hope you got an apology, something else to eat or at least the offer and a complimentary drink for you both.. I can sympathise with the barman - we were 2 staff short today, not amused especially as I know one was lead-swinging |
