Jane, if you can stand 3 weeks of HELL to loose the weight i would suggest ..........YUK.................... Slimfast!!!!!!! One shake for breckie........A soup, pasta or shake for lunch..... And a dinner of 400 cals (instead of the 600 dinner) No snacks or anything else (other than drinks of water etc....) WARNING: tHIS IS JUST A SUGGESTION, THIS IS A DIET I HAVE USED WHICH WORKED FOR ME.......I TAKE NO RESPONSABILITY FOR ANYONE WHO GAINS WEIGHT OR PASSES OUT OR THROWS UP AFTER ONE OF THOSE PASTAS!! lou XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Hi Linda, Thanks for your reply, I think the older we get the more health problems we get and the harder it is to lose weight. I mean who at the age of 18- 25 had to diet, none of us , we could eat as much unhealthy foods as we wanted and never put on weight. Betty

im sure other diets work but if you want to loss weight quickly the GI diet is the one,,its a low carb diet so when you eat your eggs and bacon in the morning the sugar in it is released slowly and so you dont feel hungry between meals you cant eat apples, bananas, pasta, potatoes or bread are but a few the GI isnt like the atkins diet which is not good for you there are a lot of healthy foods on the GI diet cook your bacon on one of those lean mean grilling machines then all the fat runs out this is a great diet please try it and let me know how you get on its not the weight but the inches that you lose on this diet caroline

sorry betty if you look up the glycemic index diet on the internet it will give you the basic details on the diet it is quite easy to follow you are allowed 12 tps of sugar a day now thats not added to food its already in the food you eat so a banana has 6 so not many left in the day if you eat one of those,,,,,this does mean you wont be able to eat much cause you can eat plenty of veg and meat for your tea in the evenings there are lots of fruits that have little sugar in them grapes eat the black grapes not the white also take full cream milk instead of semi or skimmed milk as it has less sugar in it ,,,,,,hard to believe i know but its true yes its true drink plenty of water ,,,no tea or coffee sorry but if you want to lose the weight stay off it this diet is so easy to follow good luck
