I've come home and its a bit like a dream ...a funny dream. Imagine a grown man dressed up as a little girl, getting up to all sorts of naughty tricks ( a bit like in a panto) Dont know what i expected, but it making me feel very odd.

She spoke, but it was absolute scribble- didnt know who anyone was, and having whittled and whittled ''where's my daddy'' for half an hour, when he walked in the room, she asked him the same. At one point she and I were sat on the bed, riding horses, bouncing up and down , trotting, then galloping...the nurse thought i'd lost the plot i think. It made her laugh though. Will she get better? she is a million times better than 8 weeks ago, but, No, we'll never get Alex back

Jess, How difficult it must have been for you. What will happen to Alex and does she recognise anyone? Big hug to you for making the visit. Sue

Oh Jess, How awful for you. I can't think of anything to say, just that even with the mind of a child she will recognise affection. Gwynne

I had to keep a tight rein on a thought that kept going thru my head. I kept thinking...... ~stop messing about Alex, it isnt funny anymore~ it was like she was playing at being a child. I feel really mixed up about it

I have just been to see my friend Alex.(some of you may remember we didnt think she'd make it?) She is still alive and breathing and has come out of the PVS ...and is now a 22 year old woman , with the mind of a toddler. she doesnt know who she is, what day it is , or who anyone is, and just keeps calling out for 'daddy'. Absolutely soul destroying.Anyone had any experience of this? jess x
