Betty, you must have been relieved. I have had tests for thyroid due to my symptons but the tests keep coming back ok - so why am I not losing weight, tired all the time, husky voice when tired, (sound sexy but no energy to take it further lol) etc etc. I would be so pleased if something could be done to stop me feeling tired all the time, known as TATT - and have energy to do all I want to. Liz Always worth trying a light box - look for them on line and start saving!

If you have got SAD then you need one of these lamps to help you, I don't know the correct name for them but someone I worked with had one, she was very bad in the winter months, almost lost her job because of it. Betty

Hi again, I was just asking as I have an underactive thyroide too and I was on Thyroxine tablets. I later became very tired and would burst into tears because I didn't know what was wrong with me, I just felt so tired, I didn't have any energy and couldn't explain to anyone how I felt.. I later found out about 6 months later I wasn't on the correct level of Thyroxine, after a month on a higher dose I felt great. Betty

You would have to ask a Pharmacist about that, if I can I will contact one I know and ask, but not sure where his number is at the mo. Talk to your local pharmacist and also in H & B - they have a computer that tells you all sorts of info on different things, and combinations of tablets etc.

I seem to recall someone on here last year bought a light box - was it any good and was it worth the cost? You can help yourself with this disorder by eating the right diet, worth looking on a site, or asking at a health food store, seeds and nuts can help as can 5HTP so long as you are not on any other medication as you shoud not take 5HTP with other pills, i.e. prozac, citalopram etc etc
