The best places to eat are around the canal basin which is near the Indoor arena - there may be a concert worth seeing. Gwynne

There is a lovely Art Gallery in the centre and the jewellery quarter is a short walk away. Birmingham grew in the industrial revolution so thereisn't much historical stuff from before that. Gwynne

Will they have transport? Could they get to Warwick Castle or Kenilworth Castle or Stratford on Avon? Heather

:) oh I can manage without them pmsl. No - advice on Birmingham please - I looked on the atlas and it's a huge city. What is it like? What places to go? They are into history and castles! Is it a dangerous place for young innocent Aussies?? :) Vonny
