Thunder and lightening started an hour ago in North Cambs, torrential rain now with some thunder but no lightening. Julie x |

It was here about 2ish and boy, did it rain. Roads were flooded. Bright sunshine now though. |

Its still passing over Derbyshire .... heading towards Buxton. Man hole covers were brought off the drains on roads here. Cars pulled over in the worst of it. We were having sunshine, then a big bolt of lightning ... followed closely by thunder, then the heavens opened ..:-((( We still have it over the Peak District.... Elaine ;-) |

I'm in Solihull and we had the thunder, lightening and rain between about 1.00 and 1.30. Horrendous. Roads flooded and houses hit by lightening. A very scary storm. Jacky :-) |

Apparently it's arrived in Inverness!! I'm in Ardersier (just along the coast) and it's lovely! |

We had really heavy rain for about an hour this morning 11.30is but the sun is shining now and it is really hot out there. No thunder or lightning though. ann glos |

Another lightning flash and counted 4 elephants then the thunder started. |
