Thanks Susie, yes it was Castlefield - don't know why I couldn't remember that name. Hatters Lane - used to have to wear that horrible brown beret too. Always hid it until I got to the school gates then put it on - vice versa on the way home.

Hi Susie They mixed the school just after I left in 1977 and Im really glad I didn't have to cope with that lot lol. From what Ive been told the name change didn't improve things that much but then again I don't think it could have been any worse than it was in the 70's...scarred for life I am and I know Trish agrees with me lol

Sheila and whats wrong with Hatters Lane lol that now has a new name as well the head was on Radio 2 a while back as they are having trouble with parking at pick up time and they publish the car number plates to shame the parents. Sister went to Wycombe High see shes the intelligent one and I'm the thicko

Nice to see another Wycombe thread! My eldest sister went to Wycombe High School, the other sister went to Mill End and I got stuck with Hatters Lane :( I still remember the old blue police box on frogmoor. It was around the time when the original Doctor Who started and I was terrified of it and I remember the bus garage being down near there before they built the, now old, shopping centre. Sheila (now feeling very old)

Fred Had a mate in Naphill and went out with someone from the RAF base their oh the memories. Went to the cinema in frogmore with my sister when the riots were on and they wouldn't let us out unless our parents were there to pick us up. Had that nice little pay kiosk in the foyer and then up the stairs to the cinema.
