Why not MM, they are whole grain, and with skimmed milk should be fine. Beware though, they are also very sweet, which will raise your blood sugar levels quickly, meaning your body will have to act fast to bring them down again. This means you will get hungry quickly. Can you tell I live with a diabetic lol |

Tescos do a very reasonably priced Oatmeal bread which I really enjoy and knowing oats are good for me is a bonus. It is better to eat to reduce your cholesterol rather than take medication, if possible. Soya lecithin tablets are good for you too, and help lower your cholesterol levels. |

On my visit to opticions i was told to see my doc as i had high blood pressure, i didn't take it as that important, about six months later i had to see doc about another matter, and he said he had had a letter from the opticions about my blood pressure, i was astonished. When he took my blood pressure it was 197 over 117. and he explained it was dangerously high and i could have a heart attack at any tme. been on 2 lots of pills since and have to go for regular checks each month. So do head to what they told you. Shirley Ann. |

They can tell a lot from the eys.Mine suggested i went to the doctor to have my blood pressure checked cos she could see pinched nerves a condition called tortuosoity(spelling???) it indicates raised blood pressure cos the added pressure causes a pinching of the nerves. She was right my blood presuure was too high and I have been on medication ever since. As we have a family history of strokes I,m glad mine was found sooner rather than later cos I didnt have any symptoms |

Has anyone else mentioned that the products made by Benecol and similar brands are supposed to really work in actually reducing the level of your colesterol, and it's not just the advert saying so!!! You'll probably find something on Google about it! :-))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) |

It's also true that a little of what you fancy does you good! Grill lean back bacon and trim off the fat, eat it in wholemeal bread without spread...voila, reduced fat bacon buttie! Just dont do it too often. You haven't got to give everything up, just cut out fried food (grill it instead), less red meat but you can still eat it if its lean, and substitute things, such as Flora for butter, brown bread for white, low fat for normal (yes even mayo, and use a little less) and make sure you eat lots of roughage, that will take the fats with it instead of letting it get into your blood. It's much easier to substitute than to give up altogether. And a little fat is actually essential in a healthy balanced diet. |

Sadly in today's world Doctors don't have time to examine you. But yes, eyes and tongue were traditionally used to assess one's health. Homoeopathic doctors still do, so I'm not suprised the optician did. |
