No patches - No gum - nothing to aid me just pure will power. I decided at 4am this morning when i woke up having a coughing fit and couldn't catch my breath. I was scared - made the decision to quit - last ciggie 9pm last night. So far so good. Luv TJ xxxx |

Read in some magazine about a new product made by the same people who do the patches called Nicogel or something like that. When you get an urge for a ciggie you peel what looks like a patch off and rub it in the palm of your hand for about a minute and it takes the urge away - lasts for about four hours. Anyone used or seen this. Lin |

Good for you ! I had my last ciggie on May 1st, couldn't have done it without the 24 hour patches though. Haven't had a patch on now for over a month so quite pleased with myself. You can do it, hang in there. Good luck Kathleen |

Hi T J, If you type smokers in the search box you will find No smoking thread part 3, lots of support and help on there. Good luck in beating the ADDICTION of NIc O Tine, take one day at a time, mark it off on the calender, start a savings account at your Building Society and watch the money grow. are you using the patches? All welcome James |

Hi TJ I last smoked a cigarette on Feb 6th, after smoking 15-20 a day. Can't believe I've lasted so long!! Willpower is what's needed, and determination - if you want to succeed you will. Just think of the money you save - mine amounts to about £700 so far, (100 BMD certs!.) Good luck! Angela |
