my daughter has a duplex kidney

thank you all for your replies this week has been one of those weeks first i think my mum is going a bit senile since losing my dad she asked me to do something for her on monday and swore she didnt on tuesday really upset me my eldest son who has special needs has been very noisy this week my middle son told me his girlfreind is pregnant again 3rd one in 4 years and now this with my daughter and i think ive started the menopause i feel a bit better now i ve written it all down i dont usually moan sorry |

My friends daughter had this. She actually had that kidney removed at GOS a month or so ago and has made a fantastic recovery! She's only 2. I don't know if it's usual to remove them, but one part of the kidney was covered with loads of cysts, so that may have had something to do with it. AL |

Hi Lynne My mum had a duplex kidney condition, apart from being prone to water infections she was fine. Just make sure she drinks plenty of water. Good luck to your daughter Take care Jackie |

shes 12 now and have been having water infections since she was 3 our doctor said it now needs investigating so off we went to the local hospital where it was decided to do an ultra sound on her kidneys her right kidney has a small amount of fluid in the center and her left kidney is in 2 parts which is called a duplex anyone else heared of this we have to wait to see the doctor to see what he says |
