Caroline I know what you mean......Some find the cost of chrimbo overwhelming and some people with big familys find it frustrating as they have to cook for the everyone and my mum used to get annoyed because she was the one always cooking and never felt like she relaxed....but the last 3 christmas's my dad has helped her with all the cooking and pressie wrapping and organising everything and she has had a time to enjoy the festivities too....Last chrimbo though they were all on edge as i was in hospital and my dad LOL put the turkey in and put the grill on instead of the oven...oooops when they were ready for the food to be dished up the turkey was ruined....pmsl......they ended up eating cheese & crackers and bits and bobs. So this year im helping my mum with all the cooking and my fiancee can keep the eye out for my little munchkin....

Hi all I am so pleased to see there are still people out there who look forward to Christmas as much as I do. I absolutely adore it but unfortunately I am the only one in my family who does. Around mid November this mist of depression decends around everyone and try as I might I cannot bring them out of it till around mid Jan. This year is going to be doubly hard as my Brother and his Wife and Daughter are emigrating to Australia in about 3 weeks so the depression amoungst other parts of the family has already begun. I will endevour though to try and make my daughters (8 yo) Christmas a special as I can and hope that their hatred of Christmas never rubs off on her! Caroline x
