They walked down the lane together, The sky was covered with stars, They walked to the gate together, He lifted down the bars, She neither smiled nor thanked him For she knew not how, For he was just a farmer's boy... ...And she - a Jersey cow.

Slight deviation from the thread, but my son went on a spiritual retreat when he was in yr 10 at school, when they left the weekend they all had to write a positive thought in oneanothers contact books, he had some beautiful messages entered which he was able to reread during his gcse's, these gave him a real boost when he was feeling under pressure. xxizzyxx

:-) I was such a strange child - I marked off several pages in mine with little stars and the words 'Reserved for Celebrities'! One verse that stuck was If you have a mother Tender her with care For you will never know her value Till you see her empty chair. xx

The rabbit has a shiny nose and this you may depend Is cos his little powder puff is on his other end In your chain of friendship consider me a link Little grains of powder Little drops of paint make a girl's complexion look like what it aint (My Dad wrote that in mine). If at first you don't succeed, try try again. And we had a wall of friendship where people just signed names. I still have my autograph book somewhere. Ann Glos
