My site of course is not competition to GR or the like, we are funded my me and we are not a charity (yet). I do know why the thread was 'pulled' as it was put to me. I await a further reply from GR. Of course anyome wishing to know about my site, please pm me.

wondered why they deleted Hoff's thread then in reference to 'the other site' as that is a geneological site too. Didn't turn a blind eye there did they? catherine xx

Strictly speaking you are not supposed to post details of any website on the public boards but it is ok to put the details in personal messages. GR tend to turn a blind eye if you post details of genealogical reference sites, but anything else expect to be deleted if it is spotted. In particular commercial sites, charities (unless with prior agreement) and any sites which could be construded to be in competition are verboten.

hi hun,aileens got a point,theres lots of peeps on here know how good your site is,and theres many who will speak up on your behalf.but if genes have removed yours ,then the same should go for others. it would have to have been a pretty sad person to have reported your thread. so maybe genes got there wires crossed . anyway THAT SPECIAL PLACE OF YOURS STRUMP IS GREAT. hugs joyxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Oh it has gone. I nudged that a few times. Can't quite understand that. The breast cancer one is still here as is the anti bullying one. So why has this one gone? I don't accept that old bull about it advertising another site. It in no way harms this one and for whatever reason it was zapped then sorry it is damn petty! Aileen xxx

I'm sure there was no need to make that assumption Paul. GR have been known to delete similar threads advertising sites before. This is probably them again. Is Scouse's Breast Cancer thread still around?
