i was married for the 2nd time this september. it cost a 1/4 of the 1st 1 but was more elaborate. register office service, followed by evening reception for all friends. we had a vintage car, 2 tier cake, champagne for toasts. neither of us feel that we cut back or dropped anything. and we didnt get into debt for it. (like i did the 1st 1). it was one of happiest days kids births and 1st marriage day (despite how it turned it) were all as good.

I have only been married for 3 years and it was a brilliant day. We had all the trimmings but with help from family and friends we made most of it ourselves, so was alot cheaper. As a bit of a tomboy everyone was really shocked when they saw me in my dress, it was like an elf would of worn, im sure they expected me to walk down the aisle in jeans and a t shirt lol. The only thing that would have made me happier was to have my mum and dad there, but I know they were in spirt. Jackie

Did you have all the trimmings and spend a fortune? Or was it a small, intimate affair? Was it the happiest day of your life?
