Save your paper bags they will do to keep your seeds from your flower heads if you wish to increase your stock. Save your margeor butter papers they can be used to grease your cake tins or trays in baking. June.. |

we all know the benefits of drinking water every day, but adding a sprinkle of sea salt to the water doubles the amount of minerals consumed... can be bought from large chemists / health food stores.and is a good aid to lowering high blood pressure, and other health problems. bryan. |

Be careful if you boil water in a microwave and it doesnt bubble. The liquid could have heated past boiling point - very dangerous. |

Polystyrene 'bricks' or packaging (in sealed bags) will fill an empty freezer too. Fix strong turkey foil or radiator foil behind your rads to reflect heat back into room. Fix same foil (use double sided tape or sticky pads) on the sides of kitchen units next to the cooker, any spills can be wiped off or the foil replaced at intervals. Put newpaper, brown paper or oddments of wallpaper (pound shops sell it) on the top of units after cleaning to stop grease collecting, just replace paper every six months or annually. Use brown paper or wall paper to line kitchen unit shelves or pantry shelves, to stop tins and jars marking the shelves. |

Vomit If you just use bleach to try and remove the stain, in a few days it tends to start smelling just like bleach... and vomit. Instead, treat the area with white vinegar. This will neutralise the acids in the vomit and it will also dissipate the smell. Afterwards you can use the bleach to get rid of the stain and any germs. |

To get rid of mice put peppermint oil on cotton wool balls and place around your house. Makes your house smell like a toothpaste factory though! |

Chewing Gum If something you own gets gum over it, either stick it in the freezer, and wait for the gum to freeze, whereupon you can scrape it off with a knife, or alternatively use vinegar, which makes it easy to scrub off. |
