Hi Margaret, I use Skype to carry out EFT consultations over the web - great benefit is it's free, ( you can use the same facility on MSN now too) Hubby uses it to communicate with his mates online when they play games together. You don't have to have headphones, you can just have the sound come out of your speakers as usual if you want. What you do need is a microphone, if you want to speak to someone. You have the option to use a webcam too if you want, though the time delay can be a bit off putting. It always reminds me of Max Headroom from the 80's TV show. A bit stuttery! PC to PC is free. You can use it PC to telephone, but I think you need to buy credits for that ( Useful if you want to call someone across the other side of the world as it's supposed to be a lot cheaper) It's reletavely simple to download and install, just follow the on screen prompts. XXX Sioux

I have Skype but on contacts but it was simple to set up. I already had a head set from other software so it didn't cost me a hap'penny. I'm still waiting for my brother, mother and cousin to sign up and get a user name.

Give it a go Margaret, it is great. The quality is better than a telephone and it is absolutely FREE! BC

Thanks folks. As headphones are on offer at Staples for £7.99 I think I will give it a go. If I can persuade my cousin in Australia to download it, I will reap my £7.99 back in no time !!! After that I will have to talk other friends into having a go and we could all chat for ages - and I understand that you can 'set up a conference call' so several of you can chat together at the same time. I quite like the idea of all this and have decided - as I type this - that I will definitely give it a whirl.

how do you find it. I have been told it is easy to use and 'great' and of course costs nothing apart from buying a pair of headphones so am thinking of giving it a go. Any comments - good or bad would be appreciated
