(((((((((((((((((((((((Hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))))) Nothing anyone can say will help.... I know, but take comfort in knowing that there are many people here who will be thinking of you and your family right now and for the dark months ahead. Be there for each other, plenty of hugs, and listen to each other, that's all I can say to you. Thinking of you... Gaynor xxx |

So sorry to hear this Gill My sincere condolences to you & your family. ((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))) All the feelings you have expressed are entirely natural by the way. Please don't feel guilty. Ask anyone of us who have watched a loved one linger & suffer & you will know you are perfectly normal. At least her suffering was short & she will now be at peace. Take care, Joan xxx |

This time last year Gill, my Sis and I were in the same position with our Dad.....it was nearly 4 months before he passed.....but this is not about me.....just letting you know that I know how you feel, and to say that we had the same guilt as you over the same thoughts.....so it is not uncommon.....it is done out of feelings of love..... You will go through all sorts of emotions and wonder if you could have done more, or done things differently.....but these feelings have to be gone through....thinking of you and your family in the days to come....x.....sally |

Gill, Just been through exactly the same thing with my nan. The feelings that you go through are undescribable and sometimes even irrational..... they are all natural though and dont ever feel that they are not. If ever you need to talk just PM me. The people on here have been great and very supportive and I am sure they will be the same for you! My thoughts are with your family at this very sad time. God bless Sharon xx |

I am so sorry to see you are feeling helpless and angry.Sad times bring out such a mass of emotions. For what its worth, at least two weeks wasn't that long compared to what some people go through.( my husbands aunt died on Monday after a massive stroke in July and has lingered in a bed since then, this has been horrible for her daughter) Your mother in law must have known you loved her so you must have made her life happier.PLease remember that. Take care Hugs Love Chris |

My sincere condolences to you and your family Gill. Your post reminded me of the day my darling Mum died 3 yrs ago in February. I stroked my mums face and said these words over and over again '' Please let go mum we're all ok and It's ok to leave us''. Jan xxx |

Gill, my sympathies on the loss of your dear mother in law, you must feel comforted that she is now at peace and with her loved ones gone before. Will nudge my 'Remember me' poem for you, which most people seem to feel helps at these sad times. Liz |
