thank you Gwyn so pleased you are here to tell the tale. We actually had our boiler serviced today, it is in the garage, no gas actually in the house. I actually cmmented because I had to sign a form when he had finished to say the work had been done to my satisfaction. actually we have dealt with the firm for a long time and they are reputable and all corgi, but I did remark that i would not have a clue if he had done it correctly or not! Pretty certain the fumes would not be able to get into the house but I suppose you never know. Ann Glos |

May I point out that it is the Conventional flue boilers that are the problem. If you can see a naked flame or if it goes up a chimney. They are the ones that are drawing the air from a room. Balanced flue boilers are perfectly safe as they are drawing air from outside & room sealed. Saying that Conventional boilers are perfectly safe as long as serviced properly. Sorry, hubby told me all this. Hilary. |

What a terrifing ordeal for you all and thank god you acted so fast. There for the grace of god. Having read this, i will indeed get my boiler checked every now now. Isnt it also true that you shouldnt put clothes to dry on the rads? Gives off some sort of toxic gas? Sure i read that some where. Donna xx |
