My husband was diagnosed 4 months ago with cerebral atrophy. The doc does not use the term Alzheimers as that can apparently only be diagnosed after death, but I call it that for simplicity. His short term memory is getting very bad at times. I wont let him drive as his brain might be too slow if an emergency arises. Doc has not prescribed any drugs for him. I doubt if they would do much good at his age and the way he is now.

All done. I also not living in Britain. I put expat. & address in France. Took a little while for confirmation e-mail to come through but it has at long last. My mum on one of the drugs, she is lucky. Hilary.

Ok got it now, I am a British citizen but live in the US now. Do I put Expatriate? Makes me feel as though I'm not British any more though:( Fiona. x

Over 100,000 people will develop dementia this year; yet NICE has completely ignored the devastating effect that this decision will have not just on these people but their carers too. I would ask that this flawed decision be urgently reviewed. If you agree with this statement go to: http://petitions(.)pm(.)gov(.)uk/alzheimerdrugs/ and register your name.
