I know this sounds a bit far-fetched but it is true, Saturday night I walked into the back kitchen and saw a lovely cake on the worktop, I thought, yes please, I'll have a slice of that, so I got a sharp knife from the drawer and went to cut myself a slice. When I got close I realised that it was the back cover of one of OHs cookery books. She's still laughing yet and hasn't let me forget it. Jeff x

Think I now qualify for todays award. Have Littly Lyns daughter here for tea and I put water on for their pasta go to get pasta out of cupboard and whoops no pasta and have nothing else they will eat as C is a veggie. Eldest thinks I am losing it big time and have just had to nip to Coop.

Well, I`ve lost my glasses--only wear them in the car so they stay there. On Friday drove to work with them on and put them in case in glove compartment or so I thought. When I got into car at night they weren`t there. OH has searched in car and he can`t find them either. There`s a ghost in my car I think!!! Don`t have a spare pair either, Ros

Ros, that sounds familiar, a year ago o.h. and I went to a craft fair, when he got home he couldn't find his specs or the case. Searched the car and indoors etc. Phoned the village hall, woman said she would look out for them. O.h. made a sort of Mr Magoo poster asking if anyone had picked them up etc and went back to put the poster up. Came back and a week later still hadn't got them back, he used the car (I usually have it and he has the old one for work) and came in with his specs in his hand, the case was such a match for the inside of the car, it had slipped down the side of the seat and just hidden there, yet we had gone through the car several times and not seen them.

Had to find this to add something I did this evening. Phone rang!! I answered it, (it is about 6pm, the time we often used to get a call from someone selling things) Me 'hello' Caller ( I thought) 'Hello my name is Jane' Me 'what are you selling?' Caller Silence then 'I am not selling anything, nervous laugh.' Caller 'Nana it's J....' (my youngest grandson) So now my grandson is convinced his Nana is completely nuts! Good job he knows I have a hearing problem. When I explained he was laughing like mad. I should add he is 10. Ann Glos

In a frosty morning last week, it was still dark when I left for golf, I took a can of WD40 out of the boot and sprayed it on my drivers side window, instead of Anti Freeze - made a horrible mess. Fortunately I rectified the mistake before spraying the front window. Ano Domini! Gordon
