I have never been able to do mine up at the back, like others have said, do it up at the front, then slide it round and up, slip your arms through the straps and Bob's yer uncle!

Strump not a Contessa near here just checked their website. TW have problems with shoulders and arms and I know it sounds silly and far fetched but twisting it round is painful

This is one of my most maddening areas of shopping! I was briefly starved of oxygen at birth so I have very limited dexterity in my left hand (ie. I can just pick up a pen, but could never hold it so as to be able to write). As a result, I do everything right-handed. Thing is, because of that, I'm forever pulling my left bra strap back onto my shoulder because it always slips down. I did try front fastening bras at one point but the only ones I can find are sports bras and I want something frilly and lacy and feminine. Also, because the straps are always falling down my shoulders, they get stretched eventually and then they won't stay up even on the shortest length. I really wish manufacturers would think of these things. For the past thirteen years, I have fastened my bra round the front and moved it round to put it on. I can unfasten it at the back quite easily, but I can't fasten it from the back at all.

Kate maddening isnt it , all I want is to make my life a bit easier by getting things that I can cope with rather than have to ask for help because I am so stubborn would rather struggle than ask. SO much for helping the disabled?

AnninGlos Report 5 Feb 2007 16:35

Gossard used to do them, but haven't seen them for ages. will be peering at all the bras in shops now, you do realise that don't you? Ann Glos
