Hello Shelli Congrats to younger son (and his dad!!) and comiserations (that spelling doesn't look quite right!!) to your older son. Luke had one of his semi-finals today but lost (boo hoo). He is not too bothered though, as the team they were up against are top of a higher division. Good game though. Bit of exciting news! Our manager telephoned a few weeks ago to say that a Blackburn scout had asked for permission to approach us regarding Luke! Not heard anything from him yet though, fingers crossed. Not looking forward to the close of season, weekends are never the same. Still, there are always a few tournaments to look forward to. Hope you are well. Best wishes Carol

Much better length of ban Good luck with all your games.... eldest came nowhere in cup and nowhere in league :((( just five a side tournament now. Youngest came runners up in league and winners in the cup, so happier news, esp as his dad, my old man is his manager.......would've been like bear with sore head. And of course he has his seven a side tournament!!! Then a whole mth of no football, :))))) until trials in June:(((((

Update for Shelli. Just to let you know that following our appeal, the ban was reduced from 35 days to 7 days!! Thats a bit more like it. We are still on target to win 2 leagues, 2 cups and the Interleague. Bring them on!! Best wishes Carol x

Carol you can ask but whether or not I tell you is another story LOL No actually it was a bit of a petty dispute. In our league we have ID cards ( had some trouble yrs ago with non league players playing to help a team win) these cards are supposed to be shown before the game to prevent ringers playing. The game should be forfeited if cards not shown. The other manager didn't have his cards at the start of the game, but got them brought to him during the game. The rules weren't clear about when cards shoulld be shown. So our manager appealed as the rules had been broken. But he lost. We did actually lose the game, but I feel rules are rules. Always next yr I suppose Shellxxx

Sorry Shelli, didn't hear you shouting, give it a bit of welly girl!!! Really sorry to hear your team are out, what are the circumstances exactly, if you don't mind me asking? Ours is not yet resolved. An appeal has gone in over the length and severity of the ban. The official ban starts next week so hopefully it will be resolved before then. Fingers crossed. Thats ok Shelli u can be nosey. But my 3 refs, age 40+ 18, and 14 think that this is all well out of order and over the top, again its red tape gone mad .... yes the ref should be sent of too. he should 'set' an example and would have been given training and an exam in this skill... prehaps he hasnt??

Sorry been on the roam!!! He was banned for 7days, he was 15. 35 days seems a lot to my 3 refs!!!

Sharleen out of curio how long was your sons ban? Our league is just one match, but think every league decides their own length of ban???

The ban is normal ...yet unfair, your manager should take the case for you and complain, My son swore the same and had to do his ban, so unfair for them but your manager should sort it. It should also go into the ref report done by your teams manager at the of each match ...good luck.
