Evening Baz and all, Please don't be sorry. It is wonderful that you have such a passion for these beautiful animals. I need advice and you are the very person I hope who can help me. I have been hankering after another dog since my wonderful little Yorkie and my magnificent Rough Collie passed away several years ago. They were almost human. I still miss them so much. I always wanted to have another dog but work commitments made it impossible really. We have a big house, garden and back onto a park which is mostly used by dog owners. Now I would really love another dog. As I have young grandchildren I have to be particularly careful about what type of breed I go for. I had thought of a small dog but I have heard that retired greyhounds make wonderful companions as they have excellent temperaments and are very gentle. If I went down this route of adopting a greyhound (or two) could you advice me on how to go about it and what is involved. I would like my grandchildren who visit usually daily to know the joy of loving and caring for a dog. Aileen xxx |

Hiya Kim love, It's all true what you say, and the same happens still. My own dogs have a sofa each. Me and my OH, at times sit on the floor lol. Wouldn't have it any other way, they deserve it after everything they've been through. Baz xx Nice to meet you Kim |

Was reading in our local paper the other day that there are several all black greyhounds waiting for homes, that people pass by cos they want the fancy coloured ones, brindles and such. So anyone wanting a black greyhound (that sounds a bit Irish or double dutch!) give me a shout and I will pass on the details, but you have to be home checked. Liz |
