I think it is only the first 6 months that is £9.50 but from then on it is for 12 months. Must be to stop all these wums joining as it would cost them £9.50 everytime they try to rejoin. So long as you have continuos membership then it is a yearly subscription. |

this is what it says in FAQs How much does it cost? It is free to register with Genes Reunited. You can build your family tree, use the search facilities to find possible matches to your family name, add notes against relations in your tree and receive emails from other members and reply to these emails. Also, if you already have experience in researching your family history you can import your GEDCOM file on to your Genes Reunited family tree. If you choose to upgrade to full membership it costs £9.95 for 6 months. You will have the ability to contact other members from your search results, link up to view other members' trees when they invite you to do so, post photos on your family tree and add messages to the message boards now if i hadnt have noticed this today, the would have debited my account for £9.50 for just 6 months, with out informing me!! |

It is that price if you don't renew straightaway, if you have let your membership lapse, it is the price you quote, but if you have continuous membership it is £9.95 per annum. |
