Out of the 3 people they have on the show,,i reckon 2 of them are actors. And Mel-whats-her-face gets on my wick,,saying the same things over and over again,,,'How are you feeling' 'It wont be long now'..etc etc... And Anthony Adolph says the same things each time,as well, I watched it last week while i was away,,but only for the part where the folks in question are re-united,,

Thanks everyone. Decided to not bother taping it. I found this a lot more interesting. http://www.history.ca/ancestorsintheattic/

I watched today's programme and couldn't work out whether the men knew that there was a possibility of meeting a daughter...or whether they just thought they might have a match to 'a possible relative'. Interesting? how Anthony said it will be a tough quest because the man's name was not uncommon.... then Hey Presto he managed to obtain the correct marriage certificate. ...... If only we could all be so lucky.. It might help other possible researchers, if we were told what led him to that certificate. Gwyn

I had Mon/Tues taped and sat down to watch it last night. Was really looking forward to it but it was absolute rubbish! How did they get down to'possible 3'? Surely one of the easiest questions they could have asked the 3 possible dads with same name was 'did you ever have a relationship with...'? Watched the first one to the end to see if I had guessed right one, then watched 2nd one on fast forward which condensed it down to about 5 mins - about as much as needed! Won't be bothering watching the rest as gave no suggestions to help people tracing their family. :((

Boring waffle badly presented. Agree with everyone else's detailed comments. I went out on Sunday especially to get a tape to record the programmes. Waste of £1.99. Keith

Thanks, Karen. I did a search before I started my thread but it didn't come up with anything. I've now deleted it. Glad to read that others felt the same as me about this dire programme !

I recorded it this morning (Tues) but haven't watched it yet, o.h. said he caught bits of it when he was in the room and thought it very repetitive, and also said dna would have done the trick, not all that faffing about. So won't bother recording any more.

Have to agree its one big yawn, not worth watching have taken it off my recording link will do my ironing to something else tomorrow unless anyone else would like to offer to do it have two black bags as I've been laid low with this nasty flu bug that has gone around so spent three days in bed. Well I can live in hope Pam

I don't know why they didn't just do a DNA test and leave it at that. The rest of it was all waffle. I've noticed that a number of programmes these days seem to think we have the memory span of a goldfish or something. They keep recapping and repeating what we've already seen. It certainly makes a short programme longer but really boring. Sue

To be honest was dissapointing! I think I'll write and ask them to do a show that will help us family tree pepes overcome their brickwalls--you know-get people to write in with their wall and help them solve it---I wish--it would be popular though Carol

Well, I'm glad that I wasn't meant to be on that tv programme then. They contacted me through email and asked me to phone them...which I did, with all of the details, they said it would be shot in London and on 'location' giving me all the lowdown on what's gonna happen when or if they find ******. BUT....they said it would be difficult!!!!! Did they ring back....did they eckers like!!!!...... AND I have found one of them myself......... **Blows a raspberry to them** Who says proffessionals are good? Glad I missed it then, if it sounds the way that you are all saying!!!! (A load of rubbish). Stella X
