January brings the snow Makes your feet & fingers glow February's ice & sleet Freeze the toes right off your feet Welcome March with wintry wind Would thou wert not so unkind April brings the sweet spring showers On & on for hours & hours Farmers fear unkindly May Frost by night & hail by day June just rains & never stops Thirty days & spoils the crops In July the sun is hot Is it shining? No it's not August, cold & dank & wet Brings more rain than any yet Bleak September's mist & mud Is enough to chill the blood Then October adds a gale Wind & slush & rain & hail Dark November brings the fog Should not do it to a dog Freezing wet December, then B****y January again January brings the snow................... Yes Susan, it's the May flower... I only found that out myself a few years ago cos I was saying to my Mum one year when we were camping in May... 'It's bloomin boiling ... I wonder why the saying tells you not to take any clothes off until May's gone' She said to me 'It's the flowers on the May tree' which flowers around April, May time like most blossoms apparently
