when my children was small my mum used to say never leave their vests of till may was over or they will have a cold and i must say i always listern to mum lol Rosex

Yes Susan, it's the May flower... I only found that out myself a few years ago cos I was saying to my Mum one year when we were camping in May... 'It's bloomin boiling ... I wonder why the saying tells you not to take any clothes off until May's gone' She said to me 'It's the flowers on the May tree' which flowers around April, May time like most blossoms apparently

Hi June. The Winter Hill television transmitter stands on Rivington Moor and there is an old saying round here - If Rivington do wear a hood Be sure the day will be no good. Jeff x
