Caz Nr Heathrow Report 6 Mar 2007 08:56

Hi Mandy, sorry to hear about your ear infection. When i had one, years ago, I couldn't keep anything down. My doctor suggested Lucozade sipped flat to keep sugar levels up as I was throwing up and eating little & often.....avoiding milk. And strangly to place a not too hot, hot water bottle on my ear. IT WORKED A TREAT. hope you feel better very soon Caz

Thank you Jacky and Jude for asking this morning :) I'm feeling sort of weak and steamrollered, but thankfully not quite so nauseous. At the moment, I don't think it's bad enough to go back and get the tablets changed, I'll stick it out another day or so in the hopes that I'll get used to them. Fortunately I haven't come out in a rash, read that on the leaflet too, so hopefully I might not get any worse. Thanks to everyone for helpful tips, I'm avoiding milk and dairy, but drinking plenty of semi-flat Coke and chewing Soft Mints! Thanks again, Mandy :) xx

hi PT!!! sorry to hear you not feeling too great.... with the steroids i have to take each time I feel a bit nauseous...comes in waves a bit like morning sickness...... now apart from the anti sickness drugs that i was given I found flat lemonade helped me quite a lot....so long as I just sipped it...and other than that....burnt toast!!! which I found out completely by accident when my pal came in to help me feed the kids one time and she made us all cheesy toast....but burnt it!! lolol the charcoal effect seemed to settle my tummy a bit... hope you find something that will help you as its a horrible feeling!!! much love and hugs AT xxxx
