A quick Yak Quiche..... Line a tin with pastry......layer of grated cheese.....few tomatoes and cooked mushrooms.....layer of grated cheese, and topped with goujons of Yak which have previously been marinaded in Fermented Yak's milk.....two beaten eggs and seasoning.... pop in oven at 180 deg for half an hour.......will also do for gammon, but doesn't taste as good..... |

Gwen pmsl you have confused me from the first day i chatted to you lolol somehow i muddle through lol Ann my Oh cant even switch one on, i once left her to send an email to a relly of hers so i set it all up so all she had to do was type it out and click send i popped out for 30 mins and came back to see her sitting at my desk so i asked her did she manage ok her reply 'i dont know i seem to have lost it' when i looked at the moniter blimy she had gone click happy and she had more widows open than are on Canary warf pmsl i finaly found the email she hadnt sent it pmsl Sxx |

How about adding this to the menu: CHIPOTLE YAK CHILI Chili Yield: 6 servings 1/4 c Olive oil 1 lg Spanish onion, chopped 6 Cloves garlic, finely - chopped 3 lb YAK meat, ground 1 28-ounce can peeled plum - tomatoes 2 Chipotle chilies in adobo - sauce, chopped 1 tbs Kosher or coarse sea salt, - or to taste 2 tsp Dried crumbled oregano 1 tps Ground cumin 1 Bay leaf 1/2 tps Freshly ground black pepper, - or to taste 3 tbs Chopped fresh cilantro Saltines or corn chips - (optional) Time: 2 hours 1. In a heavy 6-quart pot over high heat, warm olive oil and add onion. Cook over medium heat until onion is pale golden, about 10 minutes. Add garlic, and cook, stirring, 1 minute longer. Add meat, and sear it, stirring constantly, until it turns brown, 10 to 15 minutes. 2. Add tomatoes, chilies, salt, oregano, cumin, bay leaf and black pepper. Simmer, partly covered, until tomatoes break down and chili thickens slightly, about 45 minutes. Stir chili occasionally. 3. Stir in cilantro, and simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes. Taste, and season with more salt and pepper if necessary. Serve with crackers or corn chips, if desired. |
